GP Training is providing periodic, high quality programmes for their Driver CPC training. It requires that all professional bus, coach, and lorry drivers maintain CPC Driver qualification in order to drive professionally. It ensures that all seasoned and prospective drivers gain knowledge about the economy and the organisation of the market, and are capable of demonstrating competent driving skills to promote their company’s image positively.
Aside from holding a vocational license, Driver CPC training requires the entire category of C and D licence holders participate in a 35 hour course every five years in order to hold their CPC status. It also provides new candidates with a qualification process that they must complete first prior to driving professionally. Up to 16 candidates taking the Driver CPC training will take each course in state-of-the-art classrooms. New students will be presented with clips and questions, case studies, a theory and an extended driving test, a hazard awareness test, as well as question and demo exercises to familiarize them with real-life scenarios.
The Driver CPC syllabus for bus, coach and lorry drivers is conducted by highly trained instructors to create awareness about the various mechanical operations of their vehicle to maximise fuel usage, and to prevent system dysfunction, by minimising wear and tear on their vehicle. Another important aspect of the course is to help Driver CPC candidates learn all road and environmental safety regulations pertaining to the carriage of goods or passengers. The duration of the Driver CPC course is 5 days.
