Do I need a provisional licence for a LGV Class C + E?

Once you have your LGV (HGV Licence) Class C licence, the LGV (HGV) Examiner will take your licence and send it to the DVLA with all the test documentation. The DVLA will return your licence within seven working days. You will notice that your licence will state that you have a category C and have a provisional licence for a category C+E.
